conceptual design process for a look for the 2023 AOA student design competition

for this competition i made the decision to make a fundamental change to my illustration style. up until this point i’ve been illustrating realistic human bodies with pencil with garments colored with watercolor and ink. pen being used for outlining of garment.

i chose to switch my realistic style human bodies to doll bodies, the process of this style change will be shown below
